           Brooklyn Against Aircraft Noise (BAAN) is a volunteer citizen
           group committed to partner with local governments to reduce aircraft noise
           pollution over Park Slope and other Kings County residential communities,
           by working to:
  •    Equitably rotate flight pattern routes over residential communities
       including a "fanning" approach to reduce the onus on residents living
       under a single flight track;

  •    Limit a single rotation to 6 hours per one rotation;

  •    Promote the need for environmental impact studies with consideration to densely
       populated residential areas before implementing any flight patterns;

  •    Give equal consideration to the rights of community residents, as is presently
       given to the needs of airline profitability, congestion/flight delays, passenger
       convenience and economic growth;

  •    Work with local government, Congress and Washington elected representatives
       to address communities' concerns to the FAA and to the NY/NJ Port Authority;

  •    Organize community volunteer groups and professionals to assist with research,
       phone contacts and donations.  We welcome any assistance from Counsels.
